Who We Are

In His Steps International is an Christian organization which trains, equips, encourages and empowers the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ. In His Steps International is a ministry committed to teach, train and mobilize the body of Christ worldwide for the purpose of enhancing spiritual growth as well as furthering world evangelization, and to strengthen Christian leaders. It was founded by Eric and Ginny Hanson, and currently has a volunteer staff of 7, including Cambodian nationals.

We began In His Steps Ministry in 1996, while serving as missionaries under the University of the Nations, Kona, Hawaii. During this time we were involved with Crossroads Discipleship Training School, where we served as leaders, both at the University and during mission outreaches to the Philippines, and filling the role of ‘Pastors’. Later, in 1998, we moved to Colorado Springs, where we served with YWAM, leading several teams to Cambodia, and teaching students about Spiritual Warfare, Worship, and Intercession. In 2002, we served in Cambodia under Pastor Chuck McCaul, where we saw the overwhelming need for leadership training in the church. In 2003, In His Steps International was formed as a response to the needs that we saw.

In His Steps International is a ministry committed to teach, train and mobilize the body of Christ worldwide for the purpose of enhancing spiritual growth as well as furthering world evangelization, and to strengthen Christian leaders. We believe that Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to go and make disciples of all the nations, teaching them to obey everything that he had commanded them (Matthew 28:18-20).

What We Do

With His own ministry, Jesus demonstrated the perfect model of evangelism by training His disciples and sending them out to heal as well as to preach (Matthew 10:1-8). Mirroring this example, we follow in His steps by mentoring those with a heart for God in order that they may grow strong in the Lord, mature in their gifting, and experience a change in their lives, both inwardly and outwardly, so that they, in turn, may do the same for others. To accomplish this end, we work in southeast Asia, planting churches, raising up and discipling leaders and Pastors, and teaching the people to support themselves and their leaders through Micro-enterprise, reaching them through relief and development.

We are also involved in imparting the principles of restoration and transformation through seminars and training events, locally and around the world. We teach on subjects such as marriage and the family, inner healing, prayer, the gifts of the Spirit, worship and intercession, and other related topics.

Support

Through his many parables, Jesus taught many principles of stewardship. He showed that we were to be managers of the things He gives us, rather than owners, and to freely give what we freely receive. Our financial commitment is not to a single specific project or person, but sharing Gods love with the entire world through whatever means he places in our hands. We rely on the financial support of churches, individuals, and businesses, with some support coming from teaching at retreats, honorariums, and seminars. In the near future, In His Steps International will prayerfully be approved as a Non-Profit organization and have access to grants as well.
